Afterschool Program
The 2023-2024 Friendly House After School Program provides project based learning and enrichment based programs. Here, children can explore their passions, grow their skills, and participate in different educational, social, and recreational activities. This year students will get to vote on different clubs, an example being comic book club. We will have 4 sessions of clubs this year rotating every 2 months. In addition to our clubs, some of our programming to look forward to is cooking courses, STEAM programs, art, gardening, math and reading tutoring, etc. Our programming runs from 2:30-5:30 pm, and we do not provide transportation. We do pick up at Grafton Street Elementary and Chandler Magnet bus stop. Please reference our Tuition Sheet and Program Calendar for additional information.

Teen Center
Teens in grades 7-12 can register for the Friendly House teen programs. The drop-in program for teens is free. This year our programming features an internship program, college readiness, math/reading tutoring, and clubs. The goal of the teen program is to offer a variety of recreational/educational activities that helps teens recognize and effectively deal with the changes and complexities of teenagers’ life today. The” clubs” will be different enrichment activities, they will vote to choose which things they would like to do in the afternoons in addition to our programming. Our programming runs 3:00-6:30 pm, we do not provide transportation. Please reference our Program Calendar for additional information.
We believe providing children with free choice allows them to explore their interests, make decisions, and take ownership of their learning experiences. This approach is often used to encourage creativity, independence, and self-directed learning. It empowers our kids to select activities that genuinely interest them and align with their preferences, promoting a sense of independence and personal investment in their educational journey.
